FEA | Finite Element Analysis

Imagine you are working on a product that is worth several thousand dollars and the prototype slips out of your hand crashing into the ground breaking itself to pieces. This is definitely not the ideal situation but either way, it is impossible to know how the product will behave after falling from a certain height under certain environmental conditions. The best way to avoid something like this from happening is simulating the prototype virtually! Finite Element Analysis (FEA) is the simulation of any given physical phenomenon using the numerical technique called Finite Element Method (FEM). You and other engineers can use it to reduce the number of physical prototypes and experiments necessary and optimize components in their design phase to develop better products, faster.
