Solar radiation has a significant impact on the indoor and outdoor thermal comfort of buildings and cities. SimScale has released a new feature that allows architects and engineers to model the impact of their solar shading systems and heat gains directly through cloud-based computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulation. Using SimScale, engineers can benefit from more accurate thermal comfort predictions, as well as the ability to visualize solar heat loads on the inside and outside of building models.
