Engineering Simulation for Rhino Users

How to use CFD and FEA to accurately predict the performance of your designs

About this workshop

McNeel and SimScale joined forces to develop a free online webinar series about the application of engineering simulation dedicated to Rhino users. Participants will receive a hands-on, interactive introduction to the fundamentals of engineering simulation, and will learn how to combine Rhino with the free cloud-based SimScale platform to improve the performance of their designs. By participating, you will learn:

  • How to prepare your Rhino model for simulation
  • How engineers and designers can accelerate the development of products using simulation
  • How SimScale enables everyone with a web browser to run sophisticated simulations for free

Fluid Flow Simulation

September 27th 2017 6:00 P.M. CEST / 12:00 EST

Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) allows you to simulate fluid motion though and around objects and is used in a wide range of industries including marine, architecture, and civil engineering. During this session, you will learn how to set up an aerodynamic simulation and analyze the results.

Solid Mechanics Simulation

October 2nd 2017 6:00 P.M. CEST / 12:00 EST

Finite Element Analysis (FEA) enables you to virtually test and predict the behavior of structures and hence solve complex structural engineering problems subjected to static and dynamic loading conditions. During this session, you will learn how to set up a mechanical load test of a consumer product.
