A rise in awareness of occupant comfort coupled with the introduction of diverse building codes has created a need for validation and improvement of HVAC systems. Among numerous parameters, thermal comfort remains a major one in determining occupant comfort and satisfaction levels.

In this session, we will be looking at how SimScale can be used to assess the thermal comfort of building space. This demo is based on a customer case where an HVAC system design of a classroom is simulated to evaluate the occupant’s thermal comfort. Additionally, the air and temperature distribution inside the classroom is analyzed at different levels for a detailed evaluation.
