FEA for Early Stage Design: SimScale Demo
In this Static Structural FEA analysis for early-stage design, Steve will walk through an FEA analysis case in the SimScale cloud-based simulation environment. A static structural simulation is applied to analyze the stress and the elastic deformation of a grappler lifting assembly.
Steve will show how easy it is to import the geometry, generate the mesh, set up different loads and constraints and how to evaluate design change iterations. Giving designers and engineers a quick and easy workflow to assess the mechanical performance of their designs.

Steve is an Application Engineering Manager at SimScale. He has a technical foundation, with a Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Ph.D. in Materials Science. Steve has 7 years of industry-relevant experience from working in aerospace design and engineering simulation.
