Democratizing Advanced Nonlinear Simulation with AI & Cloud Simulation with Marc on SimScale
January 29, 2026
4:00 p.m. CET / 10:00 a.m. ET
Nonlinear structural analysis shouldn’t be a technical niche, bottlenecking your product development. Join this session as SimScale and Hexagon present a unified workflow that leverages cloud-native architecture and built-in AI to democratize this crucial simulation activity.
We will demonstrate how the integration of the industry-standard Hexagon Marc solver into SimScale allows engineers across all industries to tackle high-fidelity structural challenges—from hyperelastic sealing and snap-fits to metal forming and complex assembly stresses.
Crucially, we will show how AI is a key growth lever for democratization. We will showcase Engineering AI (Agents) that autonomously handle complex meshing and setup tasks, alongside Physics AI that learns from these high-fidelity Marc simulations to predict instant results for design exploration.
Product Manager
With a background in applied mathematics and mechanical engineering, Richard is a valuable member of the Product Management Team at SimScale. He and his team constantly try and make SimScale a better fit for every engineer in the world.
Business Enablement Manager, Multiphysics (Structures)
Joanna has over a decade of experience developing and validating nonlinear models for biomedical and defense applications. Focused on the practical application of computational models, her work included creating image reconstructed models, designing test programs for characterizing novel nonlinear materials and for model validation. Prior to joining Hexagon, Joanna was a Research Associate in Mechanics of Materials at Imperial College London and completed her PhD in Mechanical Engineering with the Arthritis Research UK Center of Excellence at Cardiff University.
Senior Product Marketing Manager
Alex has a technical background in simulation and started his career in aerodynamics at the Renault F1 Team. Now his focus is on communicating the value of engineering simulation to the community and advocating for solutions. He holds a Masters in Engineering Science from Oxford University.
SimScale is the world’s first cloud-native SaaS engineering simulation platform, giving engineers and designers immediate access to digital prototyping early in the design stage, throughout the entire R&D cycle, and across the entire enterprise. By providing instant access to a single fluid, thermal, and structural simulation tool built on the latest cloud computing technology, SimScale has moved high-fidelity physics simulation technology from a complex and cost-prohibitive desktop application to a user-friendly web application, accessible to any designer and engineer in the world.
