Engineers working on pumps, compressors, valves, and turbomachinery can now explore high-fidelity CFD simulations at no cost; Professional plan unlocks private projects, commercial use, and Engineering AI
MUNICH, 19 June, 2026 — SimScale, the AI-native cloud platform for engineering simulation, today announced that Simerics-MP — the high-fidelity CFD solver — is now available on the SimScale Community plan. Community plan access is free and intended for non-commercial use, with all projects shared publicly on the SimScale platform. It is the industry’s only way to run rotating machinery CFD of this calibre entirely in a browser, at no cost.
SimScale and Simerics first announced their exclusive cloud partnership in September 2021, bringing Simerics-MP’s industry-leading accuracy for turbomachinery and rotating machinery applications to the cloud for the first time. Until now, access required a Professional subscription. With this expansion, that same capability — purpose-built for pumps, compressors, valves, electric motors, and turbines — is available to explore on SimScale’s Community plan, giving engineers evaluating rotating machinery CFD for the first time a hands-on way to experience what the solver can do.
“We’ve always wanted Simerics-MP to be something any engineer could try” said David Heiny, CEO of SimScale. “The Community plan is where engineers come to learn, explore, and decide. Making Simerics-MP part of that experience means a rotating machinery engineer can run a real high-fidelity simulation from their browser before committing to anything more. When they’re ready for commercial work — private projects, Engineering AI, no compute limitations — SimScale’s Professional plan offers the natural next step.”
Simerics-MP delivers automated meshing and a purpose-built rotating machinery solver used in industries including automotive, industrial equipment, energy, and aerospace. On SimScale, engineers can import CAD geometry, configure and run a Simerics-MP simulation, and post-process results — all within a single browser, with no hardware procurement or software installation required. Community plan simulations run within standard computing quotas on publicly shared projects.
“Our goal has always been to get Simerics technology in front of as many rotating machinery engineers as possible,” said Rich Moore, Executive Vice President Strategy, Simerics. “The Community plan is the right place to start that conversation — engineers get to experience what high-fidelity rotating machinery CFD in the cloud actually produces, without any upfront commitment. We’re confident the results speak for themselves.”
For engineers ready to move beyond exploration, SimScale’s Professional plan removes the Community restrictions entirely: projects are private, use is unrestricted including commercial applications, instance sizes are unlimited, and Engineering AI is available across all workflows. SimScale’s Engineering AI automates the manual, time-intensive parts of the simulation process — setup guidance, parameter selection, and result interpretation — so that Simerics-MP accuracy and Engineering AI automation work together to accelerate the full rotating machinery design cycle.
