Can we use the passive scalar source in terms of mg/s or kg/s (flux).? Can we calculate mole fraction from simscale?

To put it in short terms you can think of a Passive scalar in any way as you like. It really depends on how you set up the source.
Here are two examples.
The first uses passive scalar to calculate the concentration of smoke:
The second uses the passive scalar to calculate the age of air in a room:
However, the passive scalar will not affect your simulation / fluid behavior.
