Imported stl file for drone flow simulation

Hi,

I am using the Tutorial on: Drone Simulation Using Rotating Zones as a guide to do my flow simulation study on a different drone. However, this model example in simscale builds the cad in it, whereas I have imported the geometry. That is the reason my model hasn’t shown the two geometries: Volume region and drone as shown in the example. Are there instructions on how I could get to these two geometries for an imported .stl model? Please let me know,

Best,
Anoop

Hello anoop_kiran,

thanks for reaching out to us here in the Forum.

You can do both operations using the edit in CAD Mode.
Please have a look at this article on how to create an external Flow Volume.

And for the MRF Region you can use the create cylinder tool as explained here:

Please let us know if you have any further questions.

Best regards
Sebastian

Could I also request the slides from this simscale tutorial on youtube: Get into the Drone Simulation Zone! - YouTube ?

Hi @anoop_kiran,

Thank you for your interest in the tutorial. We do not have the slides from the webinar in a format that can be shared right now. However, we do have a blog post available on this topic here.

Let us know if you have any further queries.
