I want to simulate a simple a simple tube that is under constant pressure, as well as has a component that moves to draw fluid into the barrel from (0 <t(s)<5 ), waits a little bit 9around (0.5 s), then goes back to its original position at t=10.5 (s).
As such below
Hey @GoldenDragonfly
Thanks for posting on the Forum.
I am assuming there is a mistake in the time notation in the second part of the image where t=5.5 would be on the right and t=10.5 on the left position.
From what I understand, I think you can start with getting the flow region for the flow simulation. You can then use time-dependent boundary conditions to simulate maybe a sinusoidal velocity inlet on the constant pressure side and a pressure outlet boundary condition on the exit side. You can use table inputs to do that or use conditional expressions (formulas).

Thanks for replying, I was able to get a flow region for the inside of the pump, but now I’m wondering if I need to make a flow region similar to a rotation zone. Would I make a region and exclude that volume from the flow region?
