Creating a "ship hull" shape within a water boundary

Looking at other projects, to simulate a ship hull and water / air interaction they would create 2 boxes (air on top of water) and the ship hull shape would be “cut out” of the geometry.

Is there a way inside of simscale to generate these bounding boxes? Or are they generating these in 3d modeling programs and then importing them in?

Or, would it be possible to simply create a box inside of simscale (can you create geometry?) and place that over the ship hull object? Though if it were that easy they would likely be doing that in the examples :stuck_out_tongue:

Hey there!

Sure it is possible, please check our CAD Edit toolbox to find out how to create the Flow Volume region (the ‘box’ as you call it):
