Velocity is around 1000-4000m/s

I tried to follow the tutorial [Meeting Room Thermal Comfort Analysis] using my model but the velocity is looking too high like hundreds and thousands of m/s. How should i solve this problem?

Hi @a2312653, thanks for posting on the forum and welcome to the SimScale Community :handshake:

I assume this is your project?

A first step in troubleshooting these sorts of issues is to apply an Iso Volumes filter to learn where the problem is coming from. I see it’s coming from your velocity inlets:

Then, I see you’re applying a 0.1 m^3/s flow rate to a 3.81\times 10^{-5} m^2 area face:

By using the flow rate x velocity relationship, the resulting velocity would be:

\dot{v} = \rho A v

if

\dot{v} = 0.1 m^3/s, \rho = 1.196 kg/m^3 and A = 3.81\times 10^{-5} m^2,

then v \approx 2194 m/s, which is a very large value and not feasible to simulate using any of our solvers.

I think this very large value comes from an unit error, since your dormitory seems to be only 1 meter wide:

Cheers

I didn’t realize my model size was this small. Thank you for looking into this problem!
