For my master thesis i’m consulting a lot the documentation provided by the site, which explains very well all the topics about CFD and it’s theory, However i have a doubt about the expression of the transport equation here provided: documentation.
Should be the convective term put on the LHS of the equation? With a plus near the temporal derivative?
In fact if i put the densitiy in the place of the scalar and i neglect the diffusive and source term (i.e the continuity equation) i get a wrong expression of the mass conservation in differential form (see here).
Can anyone explain to me? Thank you a lot.
