Simulation fails with "An error occurred" despite identical settings

Hi,

A few days ago (17th of Feb) I was following the How do I Model a Fan Curve in SimScale? tutorial by creating this project: Fan Test. The project is a box with a fan inlet and a pressure outlet. I started a simulation run (Run 1), it completed successfully and the results look correct to me.

Today (19th of Feb) I tried re-running the simulation (Run 2) and it ran for about a minute then failed with the message “An error occurred”. No Solver Log was generated.

As far as I can see, the exact same settings and mesh were used in both Run 1 and Run 2 yet one worked and the other did not.

Given the generic error message and identical settings I have no idea what I could do to troubleshoot my project. Does anyone have any ideas on what is wrong or what I can try?

Hi, and thanks for using the forum to report this.

We faced some known issues on this date with CFD simulations. Please try again and it should work. If it doesn’t please let me know.
