Sandbag Wall Modeling

I’m new to simscale, but I have been working on a project that involves cfd modeling for a sandbag wall used in flood protection.

I was curious if simscale would be appropriate for this simulation. We are hoping to set up the wall assuming the bags are individual components and interlocked together, then giving the simulation a flow of water with increasing velocity, or a region of water on one side of the wall.

Any guidance would be much appreciated!

Hi!

In case you’re interested in having the sandbags remain stationary and form some sort of a wall, then that would be possible with a “multiphase” analysis.

However if the simulation involves the sandbags being moved around by water (e.g. being dragged away, sinking, floating, etc.), then this is currently not possible in the platform. At the moment you can only simulate them as being 100% stationary.
