When i select the particle trace function when processing my results, it is unsuccessful. There is no feedback. it keeps loading then nothing happens after loading. Unable to move on to select faces and the rest to view streamlines.
Hi @Owura, thanks for posting on the forum.
Could you add a link to your project so we can take a closer look? Some screenshots would also help! This post offers a guideline on how to create a forum post:
In the meantime, make sure to check out this post-processing tutorial which goes into more detail on how to apply the Particle Trace filter:

Hi
following up on this
Hi @Owura,
I’ve just opened your project and the Particle Tracing filter seems to be working fine from my perspective:
Keep in mind you can’t select the outer face for the filter since you have a velocity inlet on the inner one:
As a sidenote, your simulation results will naturally take a long time to load since you have 50M cells in your domain. We would strongly advise you to reduce your mesh’s sizing to enhance simulation efficiency and core hours consumption.
Cheers
what would you recommend i reduce the mesh size to?
Hi @Owura, this would be up to your evaluation. Clean up your model so that you only leave the necessary details and adjust the cell size so that you have a good balance between resolution and the mesh’s size. A mesh with more than 3M cells is already considered large and I would say going above 8M cells should be too much for most applications.
