Could you give me some guidelines on tackling interference issues?
The model was initially made with Siemens NX, i used datakit to make the .prt files to .sldprt and .sldasm

Hi @Zaff_Zaff, thanks for posting on the forum!
We do have Check/Fix Interferences features in our CAD Editing tool which might come in handy for these sorts of issues.
As a sidenote, make sure to simplify your CAD as much as possible before running an analysis by defeaturing it to the most basic shapes. You can add complexity as you go - this will make the process of obtaining good results smoother.
Cheers
Igor
Thanks for initial helping, the fact is that there is actually a self intersection happening on a single solid volume.
The problem is probably located in the edges that host the rollers of the bearing.
Could you please any tip/hint for tacking the issue, I am working on the project as well
When selecting a single part of the lower edge all the surface gets selected.
On the other hand when i select a part of the upper edge only the corresponding surface gets selected.
Probably a faulty boolean subsract effort on the CAD software before importing to simscale.
It would have been prefered if the issue got solved in simscale environment
Hi @Zaff_Zaff,
I see - this must be an issue with the CAD modelling in this case. As I’d mentioned in my previous post, the best approach is to start off with simpler shapes and build on complexity as you progress. This would make it simpler to troubleshoot the issues which appear since we’d be able to pinpoint exactly where they’re coming from.
