Issue with simulation result

I have been trying to do this static non linear simulation for a while, i just cant seem to point where im going wrong, any help is really appreciated.

Issue - Results seems to take way too long, stuck at 0%, According to the log, Global residuals oscillating between 1-3 (should be <0.001), Contact pressures fluctuating wildly (100 to 40,000+).

More details into the project - I’m trying to evaluate frictional force of a gripper mechanism, inorder to achieve this im using a series of physical contacts and displacement to force the objects into contact.

I would say the issue comes from these parts not being constrained in all three directions (except by the physical contacts):

In that sense, it’s a good practice to constrain them artificially using a low stiffness elastic support.
