Improvements to Tetrahedral Meshing for External flows

So the other day I was using a tetrahedral mesh, just because it was better suited to the geometry and I did not need to refine as much to get a good quality, this was desirable because of the length of simulation, the fewer cells the better. To be honest, I was impressed with the changes that have been made (sometime between when I last used it and now) however I found myself lacking a few things:

  • Bounding box and material point, I had to create this in onshape and boolean my geometry
  • Primitives, although region refinement is there I didn’t want to refine a physical region, just an are of one.

As a side note, I found layer inflation to be amazingly more efficient than hex mesh.

Kind regards,
