Import steady state simulation for transient state simulation

Hello,

I have modeled an operating room with a coughing patient and am trying to run transient state simulations to analyze the cough’s behavior over time. My goal is to start from a steady-state operating room, ensuring that coughing is the only time-dependent factor in the simulation. However, I’m struggling to find a way to do this. I’d like to set up the ventilation inlets and outlets as initial conditions, and I came across information about importing a steady-state simulation as initial conditions, but I can’t seem to find this option. As I am a professional user, unfortunately I cannot share the project as written in the settings…

Hi,

Importing a steady-state result as an initial condition for a subsequent transient study is not possible at the moment.

How large is this model that you are working with? Last time that I worked on a similar project I ran the simulation transiently for around 40 seconds (given the domain & flow rates that I was working with back then) in order for the flow to develop, and only after that the coughing kicked in.
