Hi, I'm new, I'm trying to do external areodynamic simulation and I get this error"mesh diverged...."

Hi I’m new and I have been having alot of trouble with my simulation. Here is the message that it gives me, “The solution diverged, please check your simulation setup. Divergence can also be caused by bad elements in the mesh. Such elements tend to exist near walls and sharp corners. Visually inspect your mesh to locate them and re-mesh with additional refinements in their vicinity. If you are confident about the mesh-quality, please reduce relaxation factors and use more conservative numerical schemes.”

I dont know how to solve this and I also don’t know if it has to do with region refinement coeficents I would greatly appreciate it if someone took a look at my model and helped me get the simulation up and running, thanks.

If that one didn’t work try this one:

Hello Frank, welcome to the forum!

By following the advice given in the following article:

I was able to find the region with bad cells (high aspect ratio):

I would try to fix the mesh by one of the following methods:

  1. Grow the enclosure in the down direction, so there is more space at the bottom of the body.
  2. Create a feature refinement in this region. I wouldn’t recommend this because your mesh size will increase so much that you might not be able to carry the simulation.

Ok, I will try it thank you so so so so much for your time and help and I will get back to you if it works and if it doesn’t.

Thank you so much,
