Harmonic analysis of a spring structure under tension

I would like to do a harmonic frequency analysis on a flat spring structure under tension between two fixed points. It would be helpful to define the tension from the no-load state and then provide a given Delta X>0 in spring length to define the tension. Is this something Simscale can do? Thanks

A note to my post. I am wanting to simulate using acoustic pressure wave

Hi @jstack

Sorry for the delay, depending on the geometry it shouldn’t be possible. I mean, if the flat spring is represented like a steel cable, it is not possible. In addition to this, it is not possible to put an acoustic pressure wave in the simulation setup, so to know more about modal analysis and related boundary conditions, please take a look at this page:

best,
