Crash Test of Standard FSAE IA

Hello,

I am trying to do a dynamic simulation of Standard FSAE IA for this year’s project. The simulation was successful, however, while playing animation, the IA is not showing any displacement as well as I am not getting any negative acceleration in acceleration graph which should be shown while impacting. I tried following the Simscale guide to the same simulation but turns out the problem is the same. Can someone help me with this?

Hi there, thank you for using the forum!
There are a few inconsistencies compared to the original tutorial:

Also, you used different material properties for Steel and Rubber, and you are using a different maximum time step length.

I suggest you try these and check the results again.

By the way, I can see the displacement magnitude, isn’t this what you want to check?
