Compute Torque in a centrifugal pump

#1

Hey,
I’ve simulated the flow in a centrifugal pump. I wanted to compute the torque generated as well. I tried doing that but its giving me zero torque output which is not practical. Any help is appreciated!

Please select one blade of your impeller (all faces of that blade) in order to get Forces and Moments measured. Otherwise, direction of forces will cancels each other with different signes due to symmetry. After that you need to multiply that result by number of blades and check in you CAD where is the geometry center for a blade.

I guess you will be at home with small calculation to get your torque.
