for my thesis I’m currently creating a conjugate heat transfer simulation. The meshing is not working for my current CAD, because due to the import and translation SimScale itself is generating faults in the model. Has anyone experienced something similiar or could help?

In the vast majority of times, when a CAD model is considered faulty in SimScale, the CAD model itself has some issues: https://www.simscale.com/knowledge-base/why-do-geometry-operations-fail/#common-cad-faults
This is rare, but I have seen cases where a CAD model becomes faulty due to format translation. For example, let’s say that a .step file is loaded in SolidWorks (which uses .sldprt and .sldasm), then exported as a ACIS file (.sat) into SimScale, which works with the Parasolid kernel (.x_t). The geometry will be translated into different formats throughout this process.
Having these constant geometry translations may lead to loss of information at times. So avoiding so many format translations or testing different import formats sometimes helps.
