I am trying to test a drone imported from Fusion360 as an STL file.
Currently, the issue I need help with is:
“Automatic face split of facet bodies produced faces made of a single triangle. Please consider cleanup operations in your CAD tool.”
I also tried importing via STEP and IGES but also had errors.
I cannot provide a link here as the project is private.
Any assistance is appreciated.
Hi @sverga, thanks for posting on the forum and welcome to the SimScale Community ![]()
I think the first step should be defeaturing/cleaning your model: get rid of all unecessary details, small faces and sharp corners which would be a problem for meshing. Maybe these links are useful:

Documentation | CAD Preparation and Upload
Importing the model as STL is indeed not a great alternative since faceted models don’t work well with the standard mesher. It’s preferrable to go for formats such as Parasolid or STEP instead.
Cheers

Hello! I have successfully run my sim, but now I think I made an error somewhere concerning the results, as seen in the screenshot attached, I am not sure if it is due to wrong values being inputted, or something else.
