Airfoil pitching

Hi, I’m trying to simulate the effect of the change in pitch of an airfoil. The simulation should last 10s and show the effects on the flowdynamics while the airfoil pitches ‘up and down’ 45° continuously. The pitch rate will be chosen afterwards. I was thinking of applying the transient type of flow and maybe working with AMI rotating meshes. I’ve also seen the option of solid body simulation but I don’t know if it’d be helpful since it causes the movement of the entire domain.

Hello AlessandroPippa,

depending on what you are looking at it might be an idea to change the angle by using a table velocity input.

With that, you can set up the velocity inlet for the negative y and x, thus your angle of attack for a certain time.
