This project aims at investigating the impact of trees as porous media in mitigating the wind effects affecting pedestrian wind comfort. A comparison between two scenarios is undertaken, one using an urban model with no trees and one using trees. The areas of significant improvement in wind comfort and reduction in wind velocity are highlighted.
