Y+ for CHT

Thank you for adding a feature request in this section! Please help us getting most out of your request for our product and your user experience by describing your demand in detail:

  • Which feature do you need?
    y+ plots/cacli on walls for CHT
  • What is the problem that you want to address with this feature?
    Turbulence, mostly to get to the boundary layer. Mesh near the wall is properly sized to ensure accurate simulation of the flow-field.
  • What is the expected outcome?
    Once plotted, we can recheck on the calculation if the desired y+ is reached and reiterate for better results.
  • Can you share application examples, ideally with project links on SimScale?
    SimScale , here I have refined the mesh close to the walls and would be nice to y+ to double-check.

I really want it!! the thing is everyone gets a limited amount of votes, this is so they prioritise what they vote for so we can get a true picture of what users want. Therefore, things that are more core such as initialising from another solution etc. tend to have high counts, once the functionality is released the votes are returned to the user to vote on other things they then deem the most important.
