Using results from aerodinamyc simulation for static simulation

Hi!
I’m working on a project where I’m doing the design of a rear wing. First I performed the aerodynamic or incompressible simulations as SimScale has it and now I want to use the results I got for a static simulation to check its structural stiffness.
Does anyone know how I could use those results for another simulation?
Which boundary condition should I use?

Hi @sanalvarez,

Thanks for posting your question.
As you have a pressure at a surface that you get as result of your CFD analysis, you can then create a structural analysis applying the same pressure in the same surface as a boundary condition of it.

Here you find my favorite example on that, where Bruno got the pressure from a CFD analysis and then applied it in a structural one. To do that, in your CFD setup you can add a Result Control → Forces and Moments, and then select the surface before starting the new simulation. As a final result, you will get the Force value in the Result Control graph from the CFD, and then you will be able to apply it in the FEA analysis.

Please feel free to use the link above as a guide, and also to share your project link here.

best,
