Hi i tried creating an inflate boundary layers mesh refinement but i wasn’t able to select the required faces.

That is probably because you are trying to assign faces to a finished mesh. Make sure to right-click on the Mesh and Delete Results which enables you to define further refinements. Tell me if that helped you!
