Hi I have prepared cfd simulation named test_part_flow to understand the flow inside of a certain structure. However I am struggling to understand why my transient model is not converging judging from the residual plot. It looks like the same model is converging when run for a steady state analysis. I have attached the residual plots of the both cases below.

Hello,

I’d suggest that you have a look at the solver log for transient studies - there you will be able to see if the simulation is converging to the criteria that you defined for each solver within each timestep.

Transient simulations are very different from steady-state residuals and convergence-wise. See this webinar (especially numerics/simulation control) for more notes.
