Anna, I’m interested to see Simscale can work with Netgen. I have Sketchup for my building design work and there is a free plugin available that can output Gmsh, Netgen, Tetgen and FRGEN3D.
Onshape will probably be fine for some time, my models will be nice and simple.

@arnold1, Onshape works great - especially with the ability to directly import models into SimScale using the app. Wasn’t aware that Sketchup had such an plugin - thanks for sharing that!

Hi @arnold1, are you planning on uploading meshes from the plugin to SimScale for running the analysis? Would be interested in the compatibility to SimScale.

Yes, that’s my plan, I’ll download the plugin and have a play. As soon as I get any kind of mesh I’ll import it as a test. It would be neat to eventually pull volumes out of my models for air con studies etc.
