"The Mesh failed" error in simulation

Hello,

I’m trying to simulate an external air flow for an aerodynamic analysis for a car. I’m fairly new with the program but there seems to be no problem with the simulation until I try to run it; it says: "The Mesh failed. Therefore, the simulation run did not start. "

I will investigate into the issue and see if I can find the source of the error.

Hi again Athanasia,

Our team has investigated into the issue, and found out the there are problems with the geometrical model, that lead to the failure of the meshing algorithm.

Please clean up your geometry in order to have a successful mesh and simulation:

  • Use a solid modeling program, and file format (Parasolid, STEP, IGES, etc.)
  • Avoid small faces

A good alternative CAD we use is OnShape, which even has a free account.
