The desired residual of the Mumps solver could not be achieved

I’m getting the subject error message from my project https://www.simscale.com/projects/Buk/belleville_1

I’ve tried both suggested solutions – increasing the residual and finess of the mesh – without improvement.

I suspect it is something really trivial – the project is about as simple as it gets – but I cannot see it?

Anyone?

Hi @Buk,

Your model has rigid body motion. Currently, there is nothing holding it in the Dx or Dz directions.

If you add a soft spring as shown below the model should run just fine.
