Standard Simulation but Particle Traces Curve Strangely

Hi!
I am a high school student participating in the F1 in Schools competition. I am trying to generate flow lines for mainly aesthetic purposes, so I tried to make the most basic simulation I could. (Steady Flow, Standard velocity inlet pressure outlet slip walls moving ground plane, very very simple mesh) However, the flow lines don’t seem to work, and look like they’re hitting an invisible block that makes them curve upwards. I have attatched the link to the project below.

(i think this is how you share it?)

I would greatly appreciate it if anyone could take a look at it and help me figure out what is wrong.

Thank you very much!!!

Hey!

Yes, that link works just fine.
Make sure to double-check your boundary conditions, always keeping in mind axis orientation. Your velocities for the velocity inlet and moving wall boundary conditions are pointing in the wrong direction:

Try setting them to -22.2 m/s and re-running the simulation.

I’m running the simulation again now. Thank you so much for your quick help!!! Your explanation was very detailed and simple to follow.

I’ve just started using Simscale very recently, I’m loving it so far
