I have been trying to find information about SimScale capabilities to simulate mechanical loading of reinforced concrete, but didn’t find any information yet.
I wonder if such capability is currently available within SimScale?

Hi Mohamed!
That is currently not possible unless you drastically simplify your assumptions going into the simulation. First of all anisotropic material behaviour is not yet possible to simulate. Additionally crack propagation which is a big part of concrete simulation can also not be taken into account.
However if you are fine to make a very easy assumption that the material behaviour is isotropic in a first step, you can simulate that. But I would assume that this is too much. To be very precise a so called MEMBRANE model needs to be enabled in the SimScale module (not yet available), feel free to read more about that here: https://www.code-aster.org/V2/UPLOAD/DOC/Formations/02-concretece.pdf
