REST API or similar

Hi,
I’m interested in driving SimScale from Dakota and from the user interface of CASES, but as far as I understand, it isn’t currently possible to programmatically configure and run simulations. Is there a plan to implement a REST API or something similar to allow for this? Or is this not in line with the philosophy of SimScale?

of course we are interested in providing as much flexibility to our users as possible. A public API would be definitely in line with our philosophy, but you are right, that there is no functionality in place so far. You can expect updates on this topic in the next months.

We plan for an API in the future but without a fixed release date and it is not clear which modules will be affected by that. Keeping you posted in the “News & Announcement” section and in the blog (make sure you sign up for the newsletter as well).
