Propeller mesh problem

I’m very new to simscale and simulation software, and I’ve just tried to make a mesh using this video as a reference since I’m trying to do a very similar thing: DIY Drone Design Workshop: Drone Aerodynamics & Propeller Design - YouTube

Here’s my model: SimScale

I got the following errors, and the mesh is missing a lot of stuff:

The tesselated surface is not closed. There could be a problem with the CAD geometry (such as self-intersections). Please inspect your geometry. Trying to proceed anyway.

Creation of the following cell zone might not succeed. Assigned entities are not closed: Zone_solid_12

Mesh quality check failed. The mesh is not OK.

Please help, I would really appreciate it since I’m beginning to get a little frustrated… Thanks!

Hi @ejohnathon!

The problem is that your material point which defines if you are trying to perform an external or internal flow analysis was inside your airfoil deleting your propeller . Please have a look at two meshes that I have done (which can of course be improved):

Does that help?

Cheers!

Jousef

Thanks so much! I think understand it now, thanks!
