Plastic Behavior and Thermal Expansion

Hello,

I am trying to analyze plastic deformation due to thermal expansion. But I haven’t been able to find the right type of analysis for it. Is this doable as of now?

Hi @oscarcorripio!

You can use Uncoupled thermomechanical - advanced solver in order to perform this kind of analysis. Once you switch to transient and nonlinear being true, you can upload a stress-strain material data under materials. For that you have to select Plastic under material behavior. Furthermore, you can also upload a table which can represent Young’s Modulus change over temp.
