Physical contact force/pressure

What is the best way to find out what the force values are for a physical contact? I would also like to know the pressure between the contact area.

Hi,

You can ask for the solver to calculate the fields you need under the item “Result Control” - “Solution fields”:

  • For force values, chose type “force” and force type “nodal force”
  • For contact pressure, chose type “contact result” with contact result type “contact pressure”

Thanks, That’s what I was looking for. I was focused on “area calculation” and wasn’t getting the results I expected.
