Paraglider harness type comparison

I’m fond of German engineering spreadsheets like yours. Not because of the language itself (I don’t understand much), but the precise and logical manner they are written in.
I plan to look into it in more detail if I get some more time…

Feel free to share the document with you friends!

The GTO Light harness looks badass, have fun flying with it!

Great Study.
Did you go the extra step and look at the impact of that change in drag at the end of the long lever arm of the paraglider lines has on the glide ratio? I think that is where you will see agreement with the Skywalk work.
roughly half the drag is 0.6 in marketing speak! Its impact on glide is what is important.

Hello @simonallen00 ,

thank you for your comment!

Well, you are right, line diameter, quantity and layout are really affecting the gliding performance! That’s why there is a trend for 2 liners instead of 4 liners, especially when it comes to competing.

It would be nice to investigate that topic too in detail. However, the scope of this simulation was only harness type comparison.

Feel free to dive into the topic and simulate it, I’d readily read about that!

Cheers and best regards,
János

Informative, thank you dear!
