Is there any practical benefit to using a ".RVT" over a ".SAT" file to import from Revit?

Looking into bringing a Revit model into SimScale for some HVAC modeling, but there is a pretty limited description of the process. It appears that you can use three different file types, but outside of STL not being inherently watertight it is not clear why you’d opt for any one of the three in particular.

Thoughts?

Hi, and thanks for using the forum!

I will call for someone else in the community who uses Revit, as I do not!

But I am gonna add my two cents here: if your model is correctly built, that is, it is watertight and smooth enough, the file format should be a secondary factor. So please, put a little bit of effort into the geometry model, this will surely save you from issues down the road of simulation.
