Hi all,
I am trying to run a a multiphase simulation to model hydrodynamic focussing of a core stream by sheath fluid in a flow cytometry cuvette geometry. I managed to get the simulation to run, but the completion percentage didn’t increase and subsequently got cancelled.
The link is here: https://www.simscale.com/workbench/?pid=4831442472191535847&mi=spec:c49077b3-d0a1-4777-be9d-732c7c8162c3%2Cservice:SIMULATION%2Cstrategy:1
I can only share with support and not make it public, unsure whether this is a feature of my academic plan? I am able to share with particular users, so if you are willing to help I can share with you.
The geometry is meant to be sheath fluid flowing in from the top of the cone and a needle injecting sample fluid (both water), which is then focussed into the long cuvette, the liquid then exits at the end. I’d like to see the shape of the sample fluid in the cuvette.
I set it up with one flow volume, using two materials both water but with phase values of 0 and 1. I then filled the whole flow volume with phase 0 (sheath fluid) and had a velocity inlet for the sheath at the top of the cone. I then had a velocity inlet for the sample on the circular face within the cone where the sample is injected by a needle.
This is my first post, so please inform me if any more pictures/ details are necessary. I appreciate any help!
Thanks,
Billy
