If I’m modeling a known flowrate through a circular region and use a symmetry boundary to reduce computational requirements, do I need to also reduce the flow rate input value by half to run the simulation. For example, if I have a 3" pipe with a flow rate of 10 kg/s and then use the symmetry boundary condition…do I change my flow rate to 5 kg/s as the input value? Or does the symmetry feature automatically correct for this and I should still use my known flow rate of 10 kg/s?

Hi there! The flow rate depends on the area of the inlet, so half the surface would require half the initial flow rate. Does this make sense?

Perfect. Thanks for confirming.
