How to add parts without re-assigning materials, contacts, bcs?

Hi there,

I’m working on a project with complex geometry in which I would like to compare results between different simulations. I want to add or change parts and see the effect on the results but can’t seem to change one part without having to re-assign bcs, contacts, and materials. The contacts and boundary conditions take a long time to assign and I would like to keep them constant between simulations.

Is there a way to do this in SimScale? I saw that there was a forum question about this a few years ago in which it didn’t sound possible, but not sure if that has changed since 2017? Adding additional CAD elements to existing simulation
