Heat transfer withen electric panel enclosure


I am new for SImScale and i am interested in doing heat analysis for electrical panel enclosure that is fully sealed and has some hot electronic components which is attached for heatsinks for cooling.
I would like to know if SimScale will be able to help me to:

  • know the final steady state temperature in each part of enclosure.
  • determine the amount of cooling (in Watts or BTU/hr) should be applied to decrease the temperature inside the panel by certain number of degrees.

As for the cooling estimation, I think the more straightforward way is to simulate various cases changing the power and measure the corresponding drop in temperature, then draw a curve.
