I have a Hollow Rocket Nose and I input 20m/s in the -y direction directly on top of the nose. I input a forces and moment value on the flow surface of the Rocket Nose. I ran the simulation, my solution fields looked correct then I went to plot my force. The force graph oscillated between the millions of newtons as it should for the calculation, but it settled on around 13,000 Newtons. My Rocket Nose is 43.2mm in diameter and the velocity flowing onto it is 20m/s. I’ve been trying to find the problem because 13,000 Newtons is much too large for a Rocket Nose of that size and air of that magnitude. If someone could give me ideas to try it would be much appreciated.
