Force in CFD

Hi,

I am trying to run a simulation on some solar panels in wind gust environment to get the force result. I only see the result of the pressure but doesn’t seem like force or displacement is a option. Is this true? Pressure really doesn’t tell me much for my design.

Thank you!

Hey Latchi!

You can actually do a CFD study and get the viscous forces out of the simulation downloading the corresponding .xlsx file - this can then be used as input for the FEM simulation. Please note that this BC for the FEM simulation can be applied to one parameter, namely x,y,z or time respectively.

Tagging the @cfd_squad here as well to give you some additional impetus.

Best,

Thanks Jousef!

How do I download the .xlsx file you are talking about?

Iatchi

Attached a picture of where you can find that file. It is a csv file btw, not xlsx, mea culpa!

Hope that helps!
