Fatal Mesh Errors

Hello

I need to make the mesh for the rotational efficiency simulation for different rotor designs.

The project stops twice with the unspecified errors of generating meshes, please help me to generate the mesh well.

Hello Kim,

I see that by now you were able to create Mesh.

I had a quick look at it and wanted to give you some tips on how to make it more efficient for computation.

1. Global Mesh Size
   
   

First, I would suggest reducing the global mesh size and using more refinement regions for the wake region of your rotor. A setup could look like this. As for bigger regions, the mesh gets coarser.

2. Geoemtry clean up.
   Try to remove the Letters At the Top of the Turbine, as these nearly have no impact on your simulation and cost a high amount of cells. Also I would consider closing (fill) the inner parts of the turbine as usually no air will pass through here.

3. Blade Refinement.

Last please try to further refine the leading edge of your Blade as it’s currently only represented by a single cell.

I hope these tips help you to further improve your mesh and reduce the runtime costs of your simulation.
